Steel City House, Sheffield

SY JESSICA supported the refurbishment and addition of a new floor at Steel City House, Sheffield.  The development created 58,580 sq ft of Grade A office space, a priority for the Sheffield Economic Strategy.  

Steel City House is a landmark Grade II listed building located on West Street, Holly Street, and Pinfold Street in Sheffield City Centre. It sits within the eastern boundary of the St Georges Quarter and borders the Heart of the City and Cathedral Quarters, providing convenient access to a variety of urban environments. 

The building underwent substantial investment and significant environmental improvements to offer a modern, BREEAM Excellent, commercial space.

Works included:

• Addition of two extra glass fronted floors; 
• Covering of the atrium and conversion to a reception area; and 
• Relocation of the lifts to within the atrium.
